What is eBOS?
eBOS service is specially designed to utilize Bank of Sharjah services via Internet and/or SMS from any where, and at any time, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Through this service, you can connect to your bank accounts through the Internet, and execute your financial and non-financial transactions from remote locations. You can view balances of all your accounts including current, savings, loan, fixed deposit. etc. You can also transfer money to 3rd parties, pay your utility bills�etc. The operation is simple and secure, and fully in your hands, all what you need is your username and your password, besides your own PC which should be connected to Internet.
Who can I use eBOS ?
Bank of Sharjah customers, who have at least ONE existing active account in the bank.
Applying for eBOS is relatively simple, but it does require you:
� to complete an application form which includes the Terms & Conditions, and sign the application
� to get your username and password
An application form for eBOS is available on-line at www.bankofsharjah.com or at your nearest branch.
After completing the application form, you should have it signed by authorized signatories and submit it to the branch for authentication and validation. The application form MUST be signed by authorized signatories who can delegate such powers e.g. owners, notarized POA holders and/or authorized personnel as per authenticated Articles/Memorandum of Association etc..
Within 72 hours of submitting the form to your home branch, a PIN mailer will be sent to your branch specifying your username and password.
No. After receiving your username and password, you should activate your account by calling 800-88-eBOS (800-88-3267). A customer service representative will activate your account after verifying your identity.
What can I do using eBOS ?
eBOS allows you to check and manage your accounts quickly, easily and flexibly. It puts you in control of managing your accounts. The information below highlights the services offered to you by eBOS:
Messaging Service: To send and receive messages from and to the bank.
How to access eBOS?
eBOS services may be accessed through Bank of Sharjah's main website at http://www.bankofsharjah.com.
How to exit from eBOS?
Press on the "Logout" button found on the header section of the screen and the system will directly return you back to the welcome page.
Always use the "Logout" button to exit from eBOS, and don't use the "x" button, at the top of the screen, or any other method to close your browser. Otherwise, a message "You are already logged in. Please log out from your other session, or wait for it to time-out." will be displayed when you try to re-login to eBOS. You will need to wait at least 5 minutes before you re-login to the system.
How safe is eBOS?
The service meets stringent industry standards. All communications during your Internet Banking session are encrypted using 'strong grade' encryption, i.e. SSL 128 bit. Encryption is a process that transforms sensitive information into a string of unrecognizable characters before they are sent over the Internet. Encryption helps provide a secure channel for data transmission between our computer system and your Internet browser to keep information private.
In addition to strong encryption where any information is scrambled, you will need to input a unique User Name and Password whenever you access this service. Your User Name and Password are both personal to you and help safeguard against your bank details being accessed by anybody else.
eBOS service has timed log-outs, which means that Internet Banking sessions will end after some time of inactivity. This helps to protect you against unauthorized access. Please ensure you logout properly at the end of every Internet Banking session by using the logout option appearing on every screen. Please avoid closing the browser window to exit eBOS.

How do I know I am visiting a Secure Internet Site?
eBOS is accessed through a 'secured' Internet site, which helps ensure your financial information remains private and secure. You will know you are at a secured site when you see the https:// (where 's' stands for 'secure') in the address field on your browser and the padlock symbol in locked position at the bottom of your screen.
Why do the Internet Banking pages expire?
Because the security of our site is important to you, page expiry occurs to prevent the pages from being stored in your browser's memory. This feature is included to ensure the confidentiality of your financial information.
How do I know if my browser supports 128-bit encryption?
eBOS can only be accessed by browsers that support 128-bit encryption. To make sure that your connection to the Internet is secure at 128-bit, please follow the steps below.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer:
Move a mouse over the "security padlock icon" at the bottom-right corner. A tool-tip of "SSL secured (128-bit)" should pop up; OR
Press "File" in the toolbar and select "Properties". "Connection: with SSL 3.0, RC4 with 128-bit encryption (High); RSA with 1024 bit exchange" is shown.
What should I do to upgrade my PC's encryption?
If you are unable to access eBOS because your browser does not support 128-bit encryption, please do the following:
For Microsoft Internet Explorer:
Click "Help" in the top menu bar, then click "About Internet Explorer". The browser version will be displayed together with the cipher strength, which should be below 128-bit.
Click "Update Information" and follow your browser instructions to upgrade your encryption.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer:
Click the "security lock icon" at the bottom right corner (enable status bar if it cannot be seen)

I have lost my Password. What do I do now?
You can call our Call Centre or submit a written request to your branch of account to request for a new Password. The Password will be mailed to your address registered at Bank of Sharjah.
What are SMS Alerts?
SMS alerts are notifications about transactional activities on your bank account. These alerts will be delivered to you via SMS.
What are the benefits of SMS Alerts?
SMS alerts allows you can enjoy timely updates on your account activities and alerted in event of fraudulent transactions.
What is the difference between SMS Alerts and SMS Banking?
You will receive SMS alerts when there have been transactions performed on your bank account. SMS Banking is a service that allows you to enquire and receive information on your savings or current accounts via short text messaging.
Do I have to pay to use the SMS Alerts service?
The SMS Alerts service is free. However, if you are travelling and you are on a roaming network, your mobile service provider may charge you for receiving any incoming SMS messages (including our alerts) depending on your prevailing price plan. Please check with your mobile service provider for more information.
I have changed my mobile phone number. Do I need to inform the Bank?
Yes, you need to update the Bank with the latest mobile phone number as we will be sending any alerts to the mobile number prerecorded in our system.
How many accounts can be linked to the SMS Alerts service?
All of your current and savings accounts can be linked to the service. Please note that this service is not responsible about sending alerts for credit cards transactions.
Can I use the SMS Alerts service using more than one mobile phone number?
No. It is only possible to have a single mobile number per Account, including joint accounts.
What security precautions should I take when using this SMS Alerts service?
As a good security practice, you may wish to delete any SMS you received from your mobile phone 'Inbox' folder as they may contain sensitive account related information.
What is the Customers' Alerts Feature?
This feature allows Bank of Sharjah to communicate important alerts to customers through eBOS. For instance, the bank can notify customers about expired or missing documents associated with their accounts.
How do I sign up for Customers' Alerts feature?
